Shlomo Carlebach, known as The Singing Rabbi. I always have his CD in the car, whenever I feel sad or hurt, I listen to his voice, sometimes without words, it has sort of healing power, his love for people. So I drew portrait, as I admire people who made a difference. Used Sepia ink and Kuretake H20.

We’ve been told that this ex rabbi allegedly committed sex crimes against women and teenage girls by the Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault. Perhaps his “love for people” has been misconstrued, but by whom? Why?
It is, non the less, an excellent drawing!

@greyseal My designer knows him personally. He hugged women and sang in the women’s section of the shoul, which considered by orthodox inappropriate. The other thing is I am not sinless to judge others. His doctrine of love to each and everyone is dear to me. His voice is soothing, yesterday coming home at 930 pm I was listening to his songs again and felt better. I gave this drawing to sell, need to pay my bills. It looks better in reality.:-)

My apologies. I have since heard him sing. You are right, and I would like to mention that as I listened to him, the thought crossed my mind that his songs and your excellent drawings have much in common.
Regards, a handshake
