And just noticed this, which is one of your best yet. Agree with Nikira – the light is brilliant augmented by the shadow across the foot of the page. Bob Ross used to call this a “Bravery Brush Stroke” since you would have to add this near the completion of the painting. Now there’s a brave old Grandpa! Nice foreground figures giving some ideas of scale as well. Fantabbydozy!!!
Ah, what a beautiful breathtaking comment. Thank you Rose!
And Bob, my grandson, thank you so much for being awfey bonney. You leave me no other choice but to bravely send this one to you with compliments! I was planning to leave it to you in my will, but now you urged me to speed it up!
PS BTW I do not like the other Bob much. When he paints he seem so skillfil, but results are awfay kitschy.
Wonderful, Grandpa. Accepted with thanks and a certain amount of regret since I expected money from your will. Never mind – the painting will be worth millions later on. (For those, long suffering Moleskiners wondering what this is all about, Grandpa and I have exchanged paintings over the past year or so. I have a wall, in my wee studio, reserved as a gallery of his, and his daughter Dzana’s originals. It’s a great “conversation piece” when visitors call).
