Uncle, this is an excellent tree study! Each branch and twig seems to have its own “particularity” which makes for a very convincing drawing. At least to me it does. Then there is the tonal work… words fail at this point. Thank you.

Much appreciated, Greyseal. This was outlined in pencil then some “Sennelier Burnt Sienna” ink added in layers. It was the first time I had tried this brand of ink and soon found out it was only partially waterproof allowing some graduation to be pulled, from the edges of the branches, with the brush. Quite an interesting experience which I have noted and will try again. Thanks for taking the time to send your comment – Bob Mcdowall
