I am drawing Tad martin again for the first time in 15 years. Drawing a proper comic on bristol-board is too time consuming and thankless so I am drawing this in a moleskine pocket-sketch while I’m at work.

Al Frank, I know only too well of the shit hole you were brought up in, ( I spent most of my youth in So. Holland) near Calumet City, ILL. They had a great pizza place/jazz lounge there called the Grapevine. I met Ramsey Lewis there one cold week night in mid winter of 77 or 78. Probably before your time though.
