Tree Study – Beech – Inktense Blocks
This is meant to complement my recent post showing beeches in Almondell Park. I’ve been doing quire a few “studies” lately as I strive to improve my tree shapes. Its also a great way to help with tree recognition which I find awkward when they are covered in leaves.

I finally found this book. Its called Poussin, Works on paper. Drawings from collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2. Many loose sketches done in Sepia wash and pen. I think it was exhibited in Frick Museum in 1995 or 1996. No it was in Met, I bought it in Frick’s. Thank you for getting me into again. And I like your tree.

Glad you like the tree, Nikira and also glad you are reconnected with these marvelous sketches. I’ll look some of the ones out, which were recently exhibited, and send you them.
