Breakfast in Hunter Deli. I knew that this size of the paper wont fit my scanner, but I refused to crop it and had trouble to fit it in two steps and used photomerge again and think, lost some color intensity. I remember my father and stepmother use to call me The girl on the contrary (hope it translates normally from “Девочка наоборот”). I think they had a point, but it is my nature. I used sepia ink and few Kuretake pens on piece of old watercolor paper.

I can smell a diner just by looking at this. Very well rendered. “The girl on the contrary” sounds like a neat title. If only we all could have such neat titles.

Rubin, “The Girl on the Contrary” could be a great caption for your next drawing, don’t you think?

I do think. I’ll throw it into the mix. I’m currently about ten sketches behind on my rendering but it’s getting added to the playlist (sketchlist?).
