Oh, that is really beautiful. The name of the park even sounds like almonds and it smells good too.

Hi Nikira. The park is named after the River Almond which runs through it. I can’t find out why the river was named but it probably has nothing to do with almonds. “Dell” just means a small valley or glen hence the name of the park. This place has been dear to me for many years. I used to come here a lot when I had a bad illness and the peace and quite probably helped me recuperate.
