Jim Metscher was a professor at Columbia College in Columbia Missouri for 35 years. Jim was simply the greatest teacher I have ever had, and I am lucky to have ever met him.
he was a sociology professor. i took a course with him called psychological and sociological aspects of religion. he never had a schedule or a book to read from in class. jim metscher was a master at a skill that not many have any more… story telling. its truly difficult to explain this man. you would have had to met him to understand his genius. at 66 years old jim died sitting in his chair at home grading papers. i intend to do what i believe would make him proud and this will progress his legacy.
Mediator? excuse my ignorance but what is that? I just enjoy looking at peoples art, I’m not too great at doing it myself and don’t really do it very often, I suppose I’d be best described as a lurker! I love a story with a drawing, it seems to make them much more memorable for me. Jim sounds like a really good guy, thanks for sharing the story.

Nice drawing, I like the waist coat. Any chance you could tell us a bit more about him?
