Back To Harlaw – Watercolour
The visit, by our friends from the USA, encouraged Margaret and I to show off some our favourite places and the low lying reservoirs, in the Pentland Hills, offered the chance of a nice walk last Monday. Its a peaceful place and we go there regularly. It was strange that I had just completed a post, for Skineart, (see my previous attempt). This was started before we had record amounts of snow lying for the best part of two months. Now, when we returned, the snow had gone but it was still cold enough to keep the air crisp and clear. I photographed this scene, during our walk, and here is the link to it so you can see how much license I took when I painted this, from the photo, today :
