I worked in Amsterdam for six month, and I was lucky enough to get time to visit Rembrandt’s house a few times. As well as fantastic paintings Rembrandt did these superb etchings. He was also an avid collector of exotic objects and his spending caused him financial ruin.
I had a go at drawing one of his etchings. I think the master would have kicked me out to the poor house had I been his student!
