One of the things I’ve noticed since being in L.A. and driving around here is that modern glass buildings can be quite interesting. They reflect the sky, including the sunsets, the palm trees, other buildings, and in one building they have window blinds for each office that can be raised or lowered, so every time I drive by the building looks a little different because the blinds make a pattern that constantly changes. Not that I prefer the city to the country, but it is interesting. The other thing I’ve noticed since I’ve been here is that all the newer buildings have a style called “Aztec architecture” which consists of just blocks of various sizes which are ornamented in various ways with desert-colored stucco. With the palms and cactus plants against the stucco it’s really quite picturesque.

Sorry, didn’t see your comment, Rose, you are right, it brings extra dimension to urban landscape, all that reflections. Palm trees sounds fantastic in reflection, so colorful. When we gonna see your sketches, Rose. Also I saw this paper, you told me, Bockingford? What was your favorite color, so many of them, didn’t know which to buy. Oatmeal, gray, etc.
