This is the first entry in an exchange between father and son, Marty & Josef. I haven’t come up with the concise theme yet, this book will be about still life (flowers, fruit, etc) in front of landscape. Looking for a good title still. This isn’t turning out like I hoped, but that’s life. Maybe I’ll work on it a little more when I get it back. Doubt it.
While I am here in MinniSNOWduh, Joji is living large in Israel. Right Jo?!

Leave it to you to slip one over on staid suburbia. Whimsy meets the mortgage. Let the collision unfold!

Beautiful. Like how yellow pops out from blue shadow. The name Fruitscape, Stillscape, sounds better in Russian – Натюрзаж.

“НаTюрзаж” That’s the ticket. I will paint it properly on the cover when I get it back from the boy wonder. Thanks, Nikira.
Nakira, meet Nancy. Two N’s in the same town.
Nancy you champion scout you, how did you find me here, or have we met here before? Yuu are the champion scout by far….leaps and bounds. I’m quite sure of it.

Hi Marty – To the right of the car there is a pattern.. is that paper glued down, or something you drew? If it’s paper, is it a thin paper, like tissue, or something more substantial? Sometimes you glue tissue paper down over parts of your drawings and I really like the effect. Have been wanting to try it, but haven’t found the right paper or drawing just yet.
