Hard to fit in stretched to the sky Manhattan’s buildings even in my furry sketchbook 11 3/4×8. I used mixed ink, it has a feeling of old daguerreotype, which I like. I want to feel connected.
I agree with bunny’s comments, Nikira. You should offer your collection to the NYC tourist board. I feel I know your city despite never having been there. Keep them coming.
PS this is one of the few examples on Skineart which makes use of the, little used, third perspective – the vertical perspective. Your use of this really captures the way the buildings recede upwards.
I agree with Bob. Your city scapes are fabulous. They even make me want to see New York even though I’ve never been much interested in anything east of the Mississippi. When my husband was there many, many years ago he came back saying it’s the most “alive” city he had ever been in.
