OK! (finally) My first download is, of course, the Grand Canyon. I did this from memory as I have been there many times. I was using a white ink pen for the first time but without much satisfaction. The dark gash is Bright Angel canyon, location of the well known Phantom Ranch lodge. Plateau Point sits directly beneath it and offers a breathtaking view of the Colorado River (seen as the green strip). I may have used some artistic license showing the river at the point from which this sketch was remembered, but I think it works anyway. It is done with black felt tip pen and color markers. I even wrote some notations which I normally do not.

Well done greyseal. A nice way to start your, we hope, many;many downloads. Its really great to see people’s interpretations of the places they are familiar with and, although I have never visited the Grand Canyon, this is exactly how I would imagine it to be. Love the receding perspective in those clouds
