so, about your 4-color pencil — some guessing:
“Opel-Dienst” (German) –> “Opel-Service” (English).
This appears to be a practical means of advertising – for the Opel
car company ? From the 1930′s ?
Thank you so much, John. Here leads 1.8mm I think, I tried 1.18 mm, I got it from 1900 and 1940 old stocks. 1.18 mm is too skinny, 2.00 mm Ebernard Faber from 1930 is too thick, doesn’t fit. I bought (didn’t get yet) “Red top” leads, but think it would be 1.18 mm
I dug this website, here mentioned 1’8 mm, but not for sale. Its mentioned, but no info. Seems whole Google is silent about it.
I found on one site Lesto leads 1.18 mm 3 colors, but no one is selling it.

1.1mm lead is still manufactured and ought to be readily available
from Scripto, Sanford, or Autopoint vendors.
or, check here:

the prices are very reasonable. and very reasonable shipping
charge.
