Bread recipe I found out at Thanksgiving dinner, learned from Switzerland artist. Ink in Moleskine.
Ah! More food. Feel the pounds piling on. Great posting Nikira. Her is one of Margaret’s fruit bread recipes for you to try:
2 C all-purpose flour
1/3 C brown sugar
2 t baking powder
3/4 t salt
1/2 t nutmeg or cinnamon, optional ( I used cinnamon)
1 C milk
3 T melted butter, cooled
1/2 C Coarsely chopped walnuts ( I substituted Cashew nuts)
1/2 C Dates ( I substituted sultanas raisins)
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8″ x 4″ or similar size loaf pan. On a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg or cinnamon. Set aside.
2. In a small bowl, beat egg until lemon-colored. Add milk and melted butter. Beat until well-combined.
3. Stir liquid mixture into the flour mixture. Blend until well mixed. Fold in nuts and raisins. Place dough in loaf pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until to is golden.

Thank you very much, Bob, Cat and Margie!
@ Bob, thank you and Margaret for recipe. I will save it in my ShoveBox (little application, allowing you to save whatever interests you in notes in the top bar. Later I’ll put it in my Cooking book, I started at age 11 or so, recording some of my grandmothers recipes, I brought with me from Moscow). I noticed it is no yeast there, so it is sweet treat. In my recipe bread like real bread, just contains nuts and seeds.
