Wilkieston Road, Sunday Morning – Watercolour in a Watercolour Moleskine
It snowed early on Sunday morning and continued until the middle of the day. This was not supposed to happen as the heavy blizzards are forecast for Sunday night and all day Monday. Some are saying that this will continue for the next ten days or so. Brilliant! It means I can get lots of painting material like this which was obtained during an exhausting walk around 10.00am.

9.40am – Tuesday More snow with around 24″ lying and some heavy drifts even deeper. This is great. Lots of ammunition for my Brrrr scenes and an excuse to sit painting indoors in the warmth. Thank you for joining in the fun, Arqetancourt and Shahrazad by taking the trouble and time to comment.

Uncle Bob- a BEAUtiful snow scene! Every component so good- and the spattering is lovely. (I have tried that once and love the effect.) Feel like I am there! No snow this deep yet here in Colorado Springs, but soon enough…

Thank you both Cat and Candace. I love attempting snow scenes – if you use the “Brrrr” tag you will see last winter’s attempts where I decided to fill in a whole Moleskine by painting every day. I just about managed this and I think I might just try this again as all this snow, which is REALLY unusual for the “sheltered east of Scotland” is not going away fast.
