Autumn Sunshine – Watercolour and Ink in a Watercolour Moleskine
I walk this way almost daily observing the changes as winter approaches. Today (Sunday) was a beautiful day but the sun is already very low causing long shadows. This was around 1.00pm and it will be dark by 4.30 pm. Perhaps, in few weeks, this will be blanketed in snow.

Thanks to the pair of you. I was glad to be able to collect information for this on a warm and sunny day. Since Sunday evening it has been extremely windy and very wet. There has even been a fair amount of snow not so far from here. Roads closed up north and a fair amount on the Pentland Hills just outside Edinburgh. This would have made any outdoor sketching impossible. Perhaps I will be able to start to paint winter scenes again, just like last year. Where did the summer go?
