Maastricht, the Netherlands. Sketch made this week during my lunchbreak. The bare trees would have made the drawing too dark, so I just silhouetted them.

Thank you; now I look at it here: it almost looks like it snowed!

What a clever way to solve the “too dark” problem. This is beautiful!

I was also charmed by the contrast of snowed trees and warm tones of buildings.

Thanks, and I would like to state that there was no snow, I hope it will stay away some time…

I know right where this is, did you draw it in one of cafes opposite?

And I still like this one.

Exactly, you know Maastricht well, I was standing on one of the terraces, I think it was Momus. They serve Brand beer, not Alfa.

Those little tiny beers where they scoup the foam off with a knife. I am glad to be in the world of pint glasses. Saves all that waiting. European beers have that thing American beers just don’t have…I think they call it flavor.

I fully agree, both with the ridiculously small beers in the Netherlands (better try Germany, UK or Czech) and the absence of flavor in American beer.

Sometimes quiet American beer is better with BBQ-ed bloody meat, and more flavored European beer is on its own.
