This is from a trip to Big Slough Wildlife Refuge near Freeport, TX. I thought I’d paint it before it’s no longer there. It’s been hanging on since I was a little kid. Alligators seem to pop up there once in a while but not then. The only thing stirring around were some fish.

Glad to see your work again I was only saying to Bob on skype last night that I had not seen your stuff on the site recently along with Susan Rudats.
I am going to have a go at sketching with watercolour without a drawing first to see if I can loosen up a bit like you!!

Yeah, haven’t seen Susan either. Just probably busy doing other things. I used some pencil in this one but yes I do sometimes just start with watercolor and always interesting to see the end result. Its freeing thats for sure.
