Overpass above Belt Parkway, seems like weird and magic place, like you are flying above noisy city, where nothing matters, only green, dark, leafy solitude. I was thinking to do it in color. But end up using watersoluble graphite.

The trees in the upper left are fantastic. How did you do the leaves, BTW? I’m always looking for new textures if you don’t mind telling.
I’ve found myself using the watersoluble graphite more and more partly because I enjoy the medium but mostly because it’s much faster than watercolors. I may have mentioned this before, but the leads can be ground on a sharpening stone to produce an ink for sumi-like effects.
Thanks for the picture,

@Che Pablo. Sorry, didn’t see it. I used flat water brush sideways and pointy water brush for leaves. It is too much work to ground leads on the stone when you are on the site and dirty. I took tiny plastic cup, like for ketchup, and drew black circles on the bottom inside and add drop of water from the brush, so it gave me different shades. Also I saw in the UK store online liquid graphite, but it takes away from adventure, from inventing your own ways.

Great job! I also like using water soluble graphite.
