One thing that really caught my attention is this newer commercial building I was at, have a rusty look to it… It is pretty interesting how architecture design it. It is uncommon to have actual iron beam as a pillar and rustic metal tiles just above the store’s sign.

Iron beam. Not as uncommon as you might think. Encastre beams (enclosed)are fixed at each end unlike cantilevers:
Not so sure about metal tiles though.

They would normally be clad in brickwork or cement to avoid corrosion. How do I know this? Your drawing has just brought back many painful hours of study from 40 odd years ago
