After the storm – Ink in a Watercolour Moleskine
The scene, last Monday afternoon, on our local golf course. Our game had just finished when this incredible storm rushed through. This is, to the best of my memory, how it looked as the clouds rushed towards Edinburgh. They say one should never shelter under trees in a violent storm. Guess where we went? If lightning had accompanied this deluge we would have made a run for the clubhouse. One of our party remembered the quote by the American golfer, Lee Trevino when asked what to do when lightning occurred on a golf course. His advice was to march up the fairway, holding a 1 iron (The most difficult club in the bag). This was, he explained, because “Even God cannot hit a 1 Iron.”

Hahahah, loved the Trevino joke—even if he was wrong.
What a dramatic storm that must have been. We never have that much drama here because the mountains obscure the clouds most of the time until the weather is upon us. On the other hand, Northern Arizona has skies similar to this all summer long, and I loved it when I spent some time there. The Navajo Indians and Hopis even have names for their “cloud people” because the skies are so dramatic.

I like this one Bob. I’ve seen some clouds like this but not as dark more bluish grey with bright orangish lieght radiating from behind giving the rim of the clouds that bright light look.

This is really beautiful effect, Bob, in a contract to juicy colors of the grass. Your skies still the best.
