Thank you all.
arqetancourt, hiw could anyone forget it?
Rose, go ahead with it. Just be aware it is receiving watercolour in the same fission as sketchbooks do – paint is running away from the greasy surface. This can be advantageous for it’s unexpected effects.
Bob, yes – it’s Rosemary kolinsky pocket/reversible size 6. I couldn’t live without it (and some 76 others that I got from her!)
Ziza, I was trying to spot it on Rosmary site. Remember you said somewhere about very comfortable travel Kolinsky? My Kolinsky pretty nice, but I don’t like to wait till the hair is dry to put it inside the pipe. When you are in the field, you don’t want to worry how to store it without damaging the point. I had an idea how to make safe tip protector on a wet brush, but it is not manufactured yet. Please, post the link here and in ArtMater in Forums.
BTW I have ALL of the brushes in the links above, and love them all! And Rosemary made a custom made one for me, which is a real treat. The other one I love is not a pocket brush but can’t live without: http://www.davinci-defet.com/files/html/artistbrushes/artissimo.html
I only have size 2 though…
Ziza, thank you for responding with links. I remember you said once that you know pocket size brush with very smart storage compartment, was it Rosemary or something else? My Da Vinci travel brush has a little hole at the end for ventilation, but it said, you have to dry tip first. I think you said it was rubber capped or something. Do you remember?
Nikira, unfortunately I do not recall mentioning any other pocket brush apart from those in the links above. I think you are referring to da Vinci 910 brushes. Their design is such that they cannot be damaged by storing since telescopic design closes the brush in favourable direction of hairs. And I do not have any other reversible brush, so it is either that or I was just blubbering…
Thank you very much, Ziza, I think it was Da Vinci telescopic 910. Yes. Mine is # 8 1503. Artissimo also looks so interesting, a little bit like a mop. I have few amazing mops but it is for bigger paper. I will put your links into Artmater in Forums, so it wont get lost again.

Yes! This is the one I’ve waited for with the nice touch with the brush – is it Rosemary?

Nikira, I didn’t get exactly what link you’d like me to post. Here is the link to a page of pocket brushes: http://www.rosemaryandco.com/pocket-brushes-reversible-c-126.html
There are some more under section “new and different”.
All of them a excellent, and they are provided with a vent so you can store it while still dump (in fact it is easier that way). I didn’t have problems so far.
Self-protective type you’d find by da Vinci: http://www.davinci-defet.com/files/html/artistbrushes/kat2_1.html
look for 910 Maestro Voyage http://www.davinci-defet.com/files/html/medien/masstabellen/910.pdf
If you want to carry on your idea with a brush manufacturer, then do contact Rosemary since she is willing to make custom-made brushes as well!
