  Little wonder its past midnight. This must have taken ages. My dad used to say, when sleep was not forthcoming, that, “Yer heid’s fu’ o’ wee trains” [Your head is full of small trains - trains have lots of geared wheels - get it?]

  PS gears use cycloidal forms – just a thought for some more patterns for you
