You could argue that all bridges take you away from Manhattan…. I walked the brooklyn bridge to the city last year, and I agree it’s something special. The sepia monochrome gives it a nice touch.
Thank you. I experimented here with 2 water brushes, I filled( wanted it for a long time, saw Lapin doing it) with diluted watercolor from more then 20 year old tubes. But on Moleskine sketch paper it does not show much, so I used it on WC, next sketch. Here added Sepia of course.
@Bob, please, come one day. Manhattan is so beautiful, endless adventure.
Rene, every bridge here have a different face, and while driving, you see it unfolding in front of you, walking gives you is more intimate view. I want to see bridge in Japan, Tokio, I believe, going through the round tower.

Wow, I really like the effect the duel monochrome thing you did gives this. I think I might try it.

Lucky you to have so many iconic structures to paint. Must visit one day to see all these myself.

Why Tokyo, I seem to remember a picture of a new York elevated train track running through a building. Maybe the High Line?
