Oh wow, this is awesome. The only thing I can remember my dad drawing was a cartoon character called Beetle Bailey. Beetle Bailey is a privat in the army. He did a good job of drawing him.
I still remember when he did it. We had a Collie and he was explaining to me the differences between wolf’s and dog’s face, and trying to figure out which dogs draw most resemblance to wolf’s heritage. He used Indian ink loaded in a Rotring 0.1 or 0.2 rapidograph, and the result is seen in those 2 pages which were on the same sheet of a beautiful Talens sketchpad about A4 or slightly bigger. It was in out cottage while keeping the pad on his lap seating on a sofa. He also (in the same session) made a portrait of me, but I can’t find it anymore.
Meanwhile, he’s gone and so is the cottage which was designed by him and, just after he passed away, burned down by Chetniks in the last Bosnian war.
And I forgot to say that it was done in 1978, and it took him about 10 minutes. No planning, no pencil – just ink straight on the paper as he was explaining to me what he meant.

At list you have a good memories. And may be you can draw that cottage, using old photos. My father was a lawyer, he never drew.
