Water Tower
5″ x 8″ Watercolor
A Stormy evening with no rain near us yet. Its hot down here for sure in uppe 90′s. It makes for some interesting clouds though. Funny thought, would have been neat if I actually used some city water to paint this. Didn’t though, from filtered water.

Again, another evocative post, Kirby. Interesting that you were thinking of “City water”. Is this the stuff supplied to households – “filtered” coming from commercially bottled stuff perhaps? If you were after different effects, maybe textures, you should explore additives to your water such as “granulation medium”

Also try “lifting preparation”, “Watercolour medium” or see the effects a tine amount of washing up liquid gives. I use “Flow improver” with acrylic paints. I wonder what it would do for my watercolour efforts. Regards Bob

Thanks Bob. I’ve tried acrylic flow release a long time ago and still have the same bottle. Most of the time I’m a little rushed doing these because I’m out and about do other stuff like errands. If I took my time with this it would have looked a lot better.
