More orchids! Watersoluble graphite pencil and waterbrush. One day I’ll find the time to leave the house and paint outside. For now, I’m happy the orchids provide a bit of a challenge and are amenable to the technique.
The jpeg compression lost the granulation that I really like with this technique so I may post a detail of the flowers tomorrow

Look forward to the “second”version but this is fine on its own. I think your subtle shading works well here.

Thanks, Bob. I’ll try to post it tonight. The granulation is just one of those effects that you can get “for free” with these pencils, making the picture more interesting without too much additional effort.
