5″ x 8″ Watercolor and pen
First page in my sketchbook with bran new sketchkit. Oh, geeze, I still can’t get over someone steeling my sketchkit. It cost me about $50 just to by most of it, minus some brushes. I all have in it is a number 6 round W&N Sceptre 2 watercolor brush, pencil, pen, clip, 12 pan W&N 1/2pan travel watercolor kit, Moleskine Watercolor Sketchbook 5″ x 8″ and of course a new leather case. Man that case needs some wearing out. Its a little troublesome to get all the stuff in there, the leather needs to stretch. The other case held everything real nice and easy to put in, just right like a pair of shoes.
Anyway, more to come.

What a bummer to have your kit stolen. I think I know how it feels. A few years ago I lost one of my favorite sketch books which was a year’s worth of work in it. I even put an ad in the paper to see if anyone found it, but it never turned up again. Of course, I have a few favorite brushes that would be a tragedy to lose. Why is it that even when you buy the same brand of brush they just don’t feel the same?
But think of the positive side of it. Now you can begin again in a brand new way.

What a pain. I once had my kit stolen. Apparently, the thieves thought that there would be money at the bottom and were throwing things out the window as they went. After 3 hours of walking along the road I had most of the kit back but the bijoux box still has a big ding in the back. Grrr.
Still, it may be an opportunity to try some different paints/brushes.
