  I wonder if this is the same tunnel recently featured on the Discovery Channel. This was a fascinating programme about the great civil engineering dig to augment the traffic provision in Boston. There were many problems such as excavating under existing roads and rail lines while keeping everything moving at the same time. Your drawing captures the greatness of this project. Its brilliant to see someone’s view of something only seen on TV. Thanks for this, Susan.

  This recent visit to Boston was the first time I’ve ever seen the city without major construction work. It went on for years. The inside of the tunnel seems to be aerodynamically designed, both for air flow and traffic. I love that “woooosh” sound in tunnels.
