  Oh but I was told recently that “instant gratification” is bad for you, so I resisted.

  Unfortunately, what the oh so wise counsellor meant by “instant gratification” was spending time painting and sketching, instead of doing some “real work”. Because sketching and painting obviously is not work, let alone real work.

  And here I am struggling for years to snap out of that particular poisonous mindset… :shrugs:
