A Brazilian magazine published a few of my Moleskine drawings!
I made these a few years ago during a trip in China. They wrote an article about the Urban Sketchers, featuring sketches of 10 artists, including me.
The world gets smaller all the time: imagine, a Dutch guy making sketches on the great wall of China, to be publicized in Brazil…

Thanks Kirby, Boof, Ziza. Yossarian, It was an airplane magazine of TAM (Brazilian airways), one of those monthly issues you find in the back of the passenger seats, so I don’t think you can buy it in a kiosk.

Congratulations! Heavens knows you deserve it; you’re a continuing source of delight, curiosity and inspiration. Nothing could be a better encapsulation of the remarkable, changing world we live in today. I love your bit about being a Dutchman in China, published in Brazil. And here I am, a mixed-race college student in St. Louis, enjoying your work from the comfort of my desk, while I ought to be writing my essay on the Taoist tradition. I know there’s much trouble in the world, but this makes me feel optimistic. Thanks, and keep at it.
