Wow, that is awesome.. Can you tell us a little bit about your stippling technique? It look like something you would see in a page of a magazine with a magnification.

The first thing I do is lay out a light line drawing of my subject. Then I take a base color and stipple it in. There are some stipple artist who like to lay their dots in a 3 or 5 dot pattern formation but I could never grasp that. Using a pattern helps to keep from having to go back over what you have already laid in but it never really suit me. So I use a random formation and then go back over it being careful not to put too much ink down in one area. To get the highlights I lay in less dots. To get the shadows I take a complimentary color and sparsely lay in more dots until I achieve the effect of a shadow. The final thing that I do is go back over the drawing with an eraser and lightly erase the guide lines. That’s pretty much the gist of my technique. Thanks for asking.
