Same location as the previous sketch
I saw this odd-looking little insect crawling on my grey watercolour pencil, while laying on the grass.. It look like something that would come from a fiction!
I don’t know what it is, but the bug sure is interesting looking! Black and orange pattern with spikes on it little back.. Oh, that an actual size of the bug. Which will give you an idea how tiny it is..

Wow I love the minimalistic way of this and I always loved that bug… used to breed them as a kid… it’s a future ladybug, a larvae.
Nice drawing!

@Marbe, Really? Honestly, I didn’t know Ladybugs develop similar as Caterpillar/Butterfly.. No wonder they are interesting looking insect. I have seen several Ladybugs on the ground too, I was going to sketch them.. But, couldn’t find any near by.

Nice. I was going to post that it is the larva (larvae is plural form) of a Lady Bird Beetle (ladybug). Yes, same metamophosis cycle as butterflies (Lepidoptera), beetles (Coleoptera), flies (Diptera), social insects like ants and bees (Hymenoptera); i.e., egg, larva, pupa, adult.
