St. Bertrand de Comminges in the south of France, last week. Last Thursday evening, while driving from my business meetings to the airport of Toulouse, I decided to stay away from the motorway and take the winding roads along the Pyrenees mountains. Fantastic views. I came across this small scenic town located on top of a steep hill. I made a few sketches untill the twilight set in, and then continued to Toulouse.

Thanks, but what on earth is “braw wee”. I am sure it is some horrible scottish drink or something?

Ha Ha! Not a horrible Scottish drink, Rene (is there such a thing?). No “Braw” means good or great or very nice and “Wee” just means small although sometime its used superfluously as in, “Have a wee dram” – of course a dram is a definite and accurate measure. Next time you are over here I’ll treat you to a wee dram.
