  Nice VW Bug. We used to have a VW sandrail my dad had put together. It was one of 2 around on the Texas coast. The frame was built by a guy named Don O’Rail(I think thats how you spell his name but not sure). My dads version ended up with a roll bar on top because it flipped over backwards going up a sand dune in Matagorda Island. That was back in the late 60′s early 70′s.
