¡Qué interesante elección de tema, Nuria, y tan bien elaborado. Yo solía enseñar a los jóvenes a forjar estos en su clase de metal. No es tan fácil como algunos podrían pensar.
What an interesting choice of subject, Nuria, and so well drawn. I used to teach youngsters how to forge these in their metalwork class. Not as easy as some might think.

Hola Nuria. Me enseñó a los niños entre las edades de 11 y 17 para 37 años. Mi tema era llamado, “Arte, Diseño y Tecnología”, lo que significaba que había una zona muy mezclados a cubrir. En realidad, quería decir que yo estaba enseñando a resolver problemas haciendo que los jóvenes para diseñar soluciones a un problema dado, luego de fabricar el resultado para ver si funcionaba. Suena complicado, pero fue muy divertido. En algún momento hemos tenido que recurrir a las técnicas metalúrgicas y de mi experiencia como ingeniero vino muy bien aquí. Antes de que los jóvenes podrían intentar soluciones de diseño que teníamos que enseñarles las técnicas básicas y por eso nos enseñó la forja. Elegimos algo, como un llamador de la puerta, y luego llegar a demostrar cómo se podría fabricar.
No sé si el ejemplo tiene nombres específicos pero sí sé que los historiadores pueden identificar distintos períodos históricos mirando la forma de esas cosas y la forma en que fueron construidos. El más complicado que son los más tarde, el período de la historia. Espero que esto ayude.
PS Lo siento, su nombre mezclado con Mhurie en mi último mensaje. Sus nombres son muy similares.
Hi Nuria. I taught children between the ages of 11 and 17 for 37 years. My subject area was called, “Craft, Design & Technology” which meant I had a really mixed area to cover. It really meant I was teaching problem solving by getting the youngsters to design solutions to a given problem then to manufacture the result to see if it worked. Sounds complicated but was good fun. Sometime we had to employ metalworking techniques and my background as an engineer came in handy here. Before the youngsters could attempt design solutions we had to teach them basic techniques and this is why we taught forging. We would choose something, like a door knocker, then make it to demonstrate how it could be manufactured.
I don’t know if your examples have any specific names but I do know that historians can identify different historical periods by looking at the shape of such things and the way they were constructed. The more complicated they are the later the period in history. Hope this helps.
PS I’m sorry I mixed your name up with Mhurie’s in my latest post. Your names are so similar.
