It has a small black filter that keeps the brush head cleaner. It just unscrews and you can put the open end of the handle under the faucet to fill. I really like it and have been using it for over a year now. I sketch sitting down usually with a lap board or sometimes at a table. How about you?

What kind of water brush do you use? How do you like it and how long have you used it?
I tried a koi brush but found it difficult to fill it with water.
How do you sketch on table, standing, etc?

What a nice entry for your journal – just what folks should do with sketchbooks.
