Finicky Model
My first attempt at drawing one of the two cats that run the house. She was happy enough resting on my lap, but as soon as I started drawing her, she hopped up and scurried away, so this was all I got. I’m looking forward to future (hopefully longer) attempts.

This is a great way to sharpen your skills. As you know, cats get edgy when you stare at them. Some folks reckon that’s why Non-Cat lovers get pestered by cats when they visit as everyone else (Cat lovers) stare at the wee things and the cat feels threatened. The person who hates them doesn’t so the cat attaches itself to him/her. Good theory, Eh! If you stare at your pussy, while trying to sketch it, it will run away. The trick is to get a sketch done quickly which will encourage free flowing lines. You could, of course, borrow our cat, Magnus, who lies about and sleeps all the time, only surfacing for food.
