The Edge of the World – South entrance to Ratho from Dalmahoy Road – Acrylic in a Watercolour Moleskine
This time, last week, this road was almost impassible and only a huge effort kept it open. Today the snow has all but vanished as the temperature has soared to 3C and a thaw is underway. More snow, however, seems likely which is more usual for this time of year – we get most snow in late January through February and into March. This good news means I will be able to choose more locations for this series of winter scenes.

Kei – This is so kind. It was not too cold as there was a distinct lack of wind. Today lots of snow melted as the the temperature rose. Strangely it felt colder.
Nuria – If I can do this so can you. All you need is a desire to paint regularly as well as watching how others do things. YOU CAN DO THIS
John and Nick – I think we seem to be stuck with a lack of editing facilities until Leo comes up with something. Nver mnd. It nott that bd.
