I love to travel. I’ve been travelling around for many years, and visited a lot of beautiful places all around the world. Everywhere I go, I like to buy some little souvenirs, small pieces of inexpensive jewellery that I can wear with me everyplace I go. I love jewellery with a meaning. These are some of my favourite pieces, places and memories. As I said, they are often cheap, but made in silver, so I can use they for many years. The oak leaf is a real oak leaf, from the forests near San Sebastián, in the Basque Country (north of Spain). It is covered in silver, and it looks as something from a tale, or as a mad alchemist work. That’s why I love my leaf so much. Because I love tales and magic.
The sun-like pendant came from Inishmore, in the Aran Islands, Ireland. This was one of my best travels. Ireland is a really magic and beautiful island (and I love islands). They told me that this solar shape is very old (even if it looks so “modern”). It is, possibly, a pre-christian symbol of light, luck and fertility.
As I said, I love tales…
The little green ring was bought many years ago in Istambul, at the Galata Tower. The man in the shop gave me a little amulet when I bought it, a diminute blue eye. I always wear both with me, even now.
The other ring is my last purchase. It came from Canada’s West Coast. It’s Raven. Raven was the one who created the world, according to the native’s believings. He gave light to the humanity, too. And fishes to eat, sweet water, fire, colour,… He is a trickster, a powerful, creative and funny creature. Another tale.
And the dolphins were bought at Ithaka, in Greece. Ithaka is a beautiful, little and green island, and it is Ulysses land. And this enough for me…

Thank you, Lia. I love my leaf too. It is something very special.
Gracias, Nuria. Me encanta viajar, no puedo evitarlo, y mientras pueda, seguiré haciendolo…¿Sabes que casi no me acordaba de mi flickr? Lo tengo un poco abandonado, al pobre…
Thanks a million, Robert. I love stories almost the same that I like drawing. And I like things with a special meaning.
By the way, I almost forget something about this little jewels. The Raven ring is NOT really inexpensive. Not very expensive, but not inexpensive, either. That’s because it is hand made, by a native artist. And I think that he is a real artist, not just crafter. The ring is really beautiful, a work of art.
