  Lovely nature painting!!!

  Chicory (or Blue Sailors)- I love it when this flower blooms all along our roadsides on summer mornings. It’s not a graceful plant, but the blue is like the sky, and it blooms only in the mornings and looks like a weed by the afternoon. It’s an import from Europe that has spread all over the U.S. Did you know you can make an ersatz coffee from its roots? I keep meaning to try that, but it’s quite bitter from what I hear.
