A good friend brought me this luscious poinsettia plant the other day, so I used it as a model for my Christmas card this year. I did each one by hand, so they are all just a little different. It kept me busy, but was a lot of fun, and by now I think I know this plant by heart. Done with Dick Blick markers which are bright and quick, perfect for greeting cards. No pencil lines were used but just went right in there with the markers.

In the Netherlands this plant is called “kerstster”, translated this means “star of Christmas”. Quite appropriate isn’t it! Beautiful colourful drawing!

Nice to see you posting again. The colours in this are terrific with the green complimenting the red. Lots of lucky folks are going to be delighted with their Christmas cards this year.
