The Ansonia Hotel in NYC.
This is from Moleskine 1.0 from back in 2006, when I still lived on the Upper West Side just a few blocks from this Hotel. I’m posting it now because I just found out what it was called.

Somehow I didn’t realize that it was a hotel, but I recognized it right away from the picture. I don’t know why, I think if I were to draw it is would look very different. But I knew right away what it was.

Well, I just went past there and I thought it was another building. I had never paid as much attention to the buildings around me, but I certainly will now!
You can walk past some place 1000 times in this city and not really see it because–well, there’s just so much to see!
