This small chinese bakery on Ave.U is one of my favorite places to get chinese sweets, like SeeUBee( this how it sounds in Chinese, I was told), round flat things made from raw rice flower and filled with black beens. You can get it only early in the morning, so when Inna was in school I use to go there more often after dropping her at 7 a.m. But today I was lucky to catch it early. Its always crowded and swarming with never ending construction and construction people. Also It is my first page in water color Molly, feels too small, even it says large.

You are amazing! If I tried to depict all that construction it would be a mess. Instead, you make a beautiful composition out of it.

Such a lot going on in this one and captured wonderfully. What size of “Watercolour Moly” did you use, Nikira?
Nikira 8:21 am on November 1, 2009 | #
Bob, the size is 8′5×5′3. it says large Moly. I Checked some places it said Water color 4 Folio, may be this what I need? Do not know where to get it. I just got 2 this ones.I like more square shape.

Nikira, the size you are using looks about the second smallest you can get. I use this size for most sketches but have larger ones as this photo shows:

The very small size (A6) I think is called the “pocket size”, The A5 is called “large”, the next ones are referred to as A4 and A3. I use A4 a lot as I can get lots of detail into the scene. A3 is great but is too large for my scanner. I buy mine from Amazon.co.uk but maybe you should try Amazon.com first to see if these are available in the USA. I cannot see a more square shaped Moleskine but you could maybe use part of an A3.
All of these sizes seem to be available as plain sketchbooks but are in portrait format while the water colour one are in landscape. Bob

Thank you very much, Bob, for information. You are the best, as always.I am gonna dig it out, I used a guy from Ebay for Molly’s. Now I have to draw furiously to finish undesirable A5’s to deserve A4.

Bob, my scanners also standard sizes and A3 wont fit. I like everything big. And camera is crankier than scanner.
