… BTW, what brand of watercolour pencils are you using? I must say I’m not impressed with the colour they produce. Yesterday I bought Derwent watercoulour “collection” and I was more than dissapointed. I have far more superior Talens set and my daughter’s Stadler is better – which came as surprise, since my experience with their other coloured pencil series was superb.
Finally, I love your avatar!!!
Thanks ziza! Thanks Rudat!

To ziza: my watercolor pencils is “KOH-I-NOOR” ((
it’s very bad pencils.
…I’m dont speak english… Sorry.
I think those are Chech pencils. This brand knows how to make them, but perhaps those could be some sort of “economy” line(?). With your talent you could try to buy something else that gives you richer (softer) colours (and then if you want it to appear paler, just use more water)
As I said I have mid-line Van Gogh by Talens and they are very rich. My daughter has Stadler – also rich. Best brands are supposed to be Derwent and Carandache. The firs I bought and they were producing tones like yours. I filed a complaint and they are snding me a brand new tin for which they claim it’s better. Even though I bought them here in Bosnia they took that effort to satisfy me – that’s what I call professionalism! Sorry for long English reply – hope youd understand the basic idea.

It’s an honour to have da Vinci among us, even if it’s a cat! I warmly welcome you with 1+ for your sfumato pencilwork.
