a sketch I did today in Heidelberg- part of the crowd watching a live band in front of the department store.
Nice grouping of figures, Rob. I take it was not a rock band but something more from my age.
So what sort of music are they listening to? From my experience Germans would be up and dancing if the music is anything but a funeral dirge. But things may have changed in the last 50 years.
It’s a really nice composition and a fine character study, and I love the subdued color.
Believe it or not, it was a rock band, sort of. The guys were all in their 60s, but they were playing U2 style songs- pretty good, actually. A few people were dancing, but I couldn’t draw them, as they were moving too much.
