I love your architectural concepts. This has a real James Bond feel. The giant breast explosion would be very fitting.
I make fun, but I do enjoy and admire these drawings.

Not sure who would want to live there
Although I’ve heard of many Northern Europeans who come there, think all that heat is wonderful, and then have to be rescued when they wander out onto the salt flats. The heat is VERY dry, and so at first it doesn’t feel that hot and it’s deceiving. From my speaking with the rangers there, Germans seem to be the worst in having to be rescued. The temperature has been known to reach 134 F in the summer. I think the only time to actually enjoy Death Valley is in the winter and the spring months when the whole place is a carpet of blooming things. But at that time one has to be careful of flash floods which are horrendous streams of water coming off the mountains during rain and washing everything away. It’s the rare rains and water that cause the spectacular erosions of the land in Death Valley. The only one place on the planet has a higher recorded temperature is Libya with 136F.
Thanks, but I’ll take Death Valley only in the winter months and very early spring when it’s quite beautiful—and then it turns into an oven the rest of the year.

Thats pretty neat. Those look like hermit crabs shells. Those ar fun to find on the beach. I used to have races with them when I was a kid.

My only Death Valley experience was after being stuck in Los Angeles during 9/11/01 and having to drive back to Texas. Not only is it deathly hot, but there is a distinct “feel” of otherworldlyness in the air. My guess is that the breast-like hermit crab things are a giant air conditioning system.

Thanks for the additions to the design, a good design (like art or our drawings) should be filled with ideas and stories, like Marty hiking over the glaciers and Suzans ride to the local bar. I drew the exploding breast like hermit crabs thinking of closed sleeping cocoons against the heat, but I agree with Suzan, they look more like cooling units.
Check this video if you want to know the source behind the drawing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJsW6ta4X8o&feature=related
