I’m back from a lovely vacation. Filled a whole Moly with watercolors of places where I stopped. Lots of mountain scenery. The new Moly begins with this view of the route I took, driving along the eastern encarpment of the Sierra Nevadas.

Really nice colors especially in the mountains. The overall composition is wonderful.

Great to have you back Rose. I hope we get to see everithing you did in the “old” Moly. This one’s great too. It would be interesting to see the same one without the outlines…

Aha. The wanderer returns. This is great, Rose. Looking forward to seeing more of your holiday. Hope you have enough ammunition for the coming winter.

Nah, for quick sketches I need those outlines, but for those compositions I pick to make a larger watercolor I will be leaving the outlines out—but alas, they won’t be in the Moly because I will be working on larger paper.
Yup, the wanderer is back, and I have decided I would just LOVE to be a gypsy. I love traveling on land. Forget planes or ships. And where I was the ground was even unstable with earthquakes since May. But I felt only one. All the others were apparently just little tremors, according to the radio. Well, it’s California!!!

This scene reminds me of the 1960s and driving my little VW bug from NJ to California. It’s such to be an explorer isn’t it! Personally I like the black outlines.
